It is 2 years ago since I released my first and only CAL so far. Now it’s finally time again! 🙂
I got the chance to create a mystery CAL together with Järbo Garn and of course I took that chance. This time we will make a lovely summer bag in the “Summer Bag CAL”.

I believe that summer and colorful crochet belongs together and when you’ve made something that you’re proud of it’s nice to be able to easily show it to the world. That’s why we’re going to make us a lovely summer bag. A bag that could be brought to the beach or to any other summer adventure.
The summer bag is crocheted from the bottom and up in rounds. The result will be a beautiful bag with carrying straps and a lovely texture.
The pattern includes both a written description with images from the process and diagrams. The bag is mainly crocheted with standard stitches and all other stitches have a thorough description and corresponding image. The pattern is free and will be posted in English (US terms) here on my blog and in Swedish on Järbo Garns Blog.
Summer Bag CAL – Timeline and links for pattern parts
Material
Yarn: 9 skeins (450 g) of Soft Cotton from Järbo Garn (100 % Cotton, Aran weight).
2 skeins (100 g) each of color A, E and F, 1 skein (50 g) each of color B, C, D.
Hook: 3.5 mm
Gauge
19 sc x 20 rows = 10 x 10 cm with hook 3.5 mm (US crochet terms)
Size
The size of the finished bag is around 30 cm wide and 35 cm from top to bottom.
