Crocheted flower lamp shades will look lovely on a string light. This pattern is fairly quick and easy.
MATERIAL
Yarn: Scheepjeswool Cotton 8 in several colors.
Hook: 2.5 mm
SIZE
The size of one flower is around 5 cm deep and 7 cm wide at the widest part.
ABBREVIATIONS, US CROCHET TERMS
st – stitch
sl st – slip stitch
sc – single crochet
hdc – half double crochet
dc – double crochet
tr – treble crochet
dtr – double treble crochet
blo – back loop only
blo – back loop only
DESCRIPTION
Round 1.
Start with color A and a magic ring, work 15 sc inside the magic ring. (15 st)
Adjust the magic ring to fit your light before fastening off.
Round 2.
Round 2.
(2 sc in the next st, 1 sc each in the next 2 st’s) repeat 5 times. (20 st)
Join with a a sl st and fasten off.
Round 3.
Change to color B. Join your yarn by making a standing single crochet in any of the 20 sc’s (blo).
1 sc in each of the 20 st’s around (blo). (20 st)
Round 4.
Round 4.
(1 sc each in the next 3 st’s, 2 sc in the next st.) repeat 5 times. (25 st)
Rounds 5-6.
1 sc in each of the 25 st’s around. (25 st)
Round 7.
(1 sc each in the next 4 st’s, 2 sc in the next st) repeat 5 times. (30 st)
Rounds 8-9.
1 sc in each of the 30 st’s around. (30 st)
Round 10.
( 1 sc each in the next 5 st’s. 2 sc in the next st) repeat 5 times. (35 st)
Round 11.
1 sc in each of the 35 st’s around. (35 st)
Round 12.
(1 hdc, 2 dc in next st, 2 tr in next st, ch 2, 1 dtr in next st, 2 tr in next st, 2 dc in next st, 1 hdc in next st) repeat 5 times.
Fasten off and sew in all ends.
