General

  • Turn your work after each row. When you crochet odd rows you have the right side of the work facing you and when you crochet even rows you have the wrong side facing you.
  • The first chain or chains on each round does not count as a stitch.
  • Join the round with a sl st in the first st of the round if nothing else is described.
  • Crochet through both loops of a stitch if nothing else is described.
  • Crochet first and last stitch on rows crocheted in blo or flo through both loops to get more stable edges.
  • Remember to check your stitch cound now and then. There are always 85 stitched on rows containing one stitch type only.

Hi! I’m loving this but question regarding row 14…for the stitch that is going back into the skipped stitch, are you going in front or behind the work. For the life of me I can’t get my stitches to look like the picture. If I go in front it’s extremely difficult to get into that stitch!

Thanks for any direction you can provide!

    1. Hi! The trick on row 14 is that the stitch made in the skipped stitch goes around the other two stitches. Meaning you will get the diagonal stitch pattern on both sides of your work. Did that explanation make sense?
